The aggressiveness, which makes academic elementary level students to have an antisocial behaviour, because of family or scholar violence, and the lack of interest of authorities before this situation, are important points that must be analyzed and discussed for looking for solution actions.

The School of Communication Science (FCC, Spanish abbreviation) Center for Research, presented a ‘Situational Diagnosis about Violence, Equity and Gender in Nuevo Leon: A Psychosocial Profile from a Magistral Perspective’ before this panorama and worried about violence consecuences and familiar, social and work discrimination caused by all this aspects which it is part of.

After a hard research, headed by Dra. Patricia Cerda Perez, the Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon (UANL) Center for Research; the diagnosis was made by the Ministry of Public Education in Nuevo Leon (SEP, Spanish abbreviation) professors and adminsitrative personnel, parents, family, students and other collaborators.

The work was presented by author Cerda Perez on November 17th at 20:00 o’clock at ‘Raul Rangel Frias University Library’ before many people.

“The diagnosis describes the construction of genders’ identities in Mexico 21st. century as well as the intrafamiliar and community violence impact on these identities from family and education as a socializing element in cultural processes (…)”

“From children’s opinions, who –daily- are in Nuevo Leon elementary education system’s classrooms of mass media as a rules, values and ideologies transmitters, and from an incident social environment in education for education system students of elementary and secondary academic levels.”

“This study shows how the violence in Nuevo Leon gender society does not produce or come from only one way, but it has roots and multidirectional and multifactor effects,” said Dra. Patricia Cerda Perez.

On the other hand, Lic. Norma Carolina Rodriguez Sanches from the Universidad Pedagogica Nacional (UPN), said people are in touch with students, who can identify if some of them suffer from violence or discrimination, they can be professors, and so, it is important this topic is discussed in legislation.

“There is violence and discrimination when we talk about men and women in Mexican society; and we, who are professors- see it, specially, everyday,” said Rodriguez Sanchez.

Some suggestions that included in the text are: legislate the role played by professors in familiar and gender violence treatment on school and the access to justice mechanisms in this area.
